We welcome all boys and girls in grades K–5, regardless of school, religious background, or family structure. No prior Scouting experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to try new things!
Our goal is to keep Scouting accessible for every family.
Typical costs include:
Annual registration fee to Scouting America
Pack 100 dues (to help cover program costs)
Optional subscription to Scout Life magazine
Uniform and handbook
💙 Need help? We offer scholarships and have a uniform closet for gently used gear. Fundraisers also help Scouts earn credit toward camp and activities.
You can join Pack 100 at any time of year! We’re always excited to welcome new Scouts.
Each den typically meets twice a month, and the full Pack comes together for a monthly meeting. We also host fun outings and service projects throughout the year. Participation is flexible — just come when you can and do your best!

Great question! A den is a small group of Scouts in the same grade. Dens meet a couple of times each month to work on skills, go on outings, and complete activities toward rank advancement.
All of the dens together make up the pack. The whole pack gathers once a month for a fun, family-friendly meeting where Scouts are recognized for their achievements and we celebrate as a community.
Yes, please! Scouting is a family program, and we rely on adult volunteers to keep things running smoothly.
Whether you're helping out occasionally at events or taking on a leadership role, we provide support and training. Background checks and Youth Protection Training are required for all registered leaders.

No. While we are chartered by Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, Pack 100 does not include religious programming and has no religious affiliation. We welcome families from all faiths — or no faith at all.
Because Pack 100 is chartered by a religious organization and not a standalone nonprofit, we are not a 501(c)(3) organization. That means donations made directly to the Pack are generally not tax-deductible.
If you are interested in supporting the Pack financially, we’re happy to discuss options — just reach out to join@pack100ballard.com.
